Kid Inventors' Day 2017!

Throwing it back to a stupdenous morning of innovation and inspiration at NYU Tandon School of Engineering's MakerSpace to celebrate Kid Inventors’ Day 2017. Sponsored by Autodesk.

Inventors from left to right in photos above: Jakob Sperry, Alexis Lewis, Jordan Pericles, Abichael Michel and Jordan Reeves.

It was really exciting being able to see these young adults' creations in person. There was a buzz in the air at the very cool MakerSpace at NYU's Brooklyn campus. Each inventor demonstrated her/his inventions in front of an audience of press, students and fellow creators. Serious press: Entrepreneur Magazine; Cool Mom Picks; NYC Tech Mommy; Pix 11 and TIME for Kids (TFK) Kid Reporter Tommy Nolan to name a few.

As an adult inventor of a consumer product, being around young people who are open-minded, experimental and able to grasp their ideas enough to turn them into a reality was really awesome. I also applaud the parents and peers who support and help these youngsters along the way.

Hanging out with the cool kids from Cool Mom Picks and Born Just Right (above) and the CrEST (Creativity in Engineering, Science, and Technology) bunch reminding me of how rad high school is (below)!

Here is a link to Nina Zipkin’s article on Kid Inventors’ Day from Entrepreneur Magazine which captures the event perfectly and introduces each inventor's creation in detail. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/288479
