When attending a trade show becomes a lesson of achievement

Hi Folks - it's Candi, the creator of RestoPresto!

If someone would had told me, 2 years ago, that I would be walking the floor of a textile trade show - I would not have believed it.  If anyone had told me, 2 years ago, that I would be walking the floor of a textile trade show as a designer and buyer of textiles, I would DEFINITELY not have believed it!

Well, this is what happened when I attended the DG Expo in Manhattan on 1/20/16.

I was able to navigate the crowded rooms to find prospective vendors with whom I had meaningful conversations and gained information. This is a win-win for anyone but particularly for a unique product like RestoPresto, which is made of very specific and special fabric and trims (some of which are not easy to find).

As the founder and CEO of my Company, my days and nights are abuzz with tasks and endeavors so when I allow myself to take a step back to assess and reflect, I clearly see that despite having been a business owner/product designer/inventor/marketer for a short time, the achievements are monumental. These steps, that enable perspective, are the only ones worth taking back.

This is the experience that I had after attending a trade show. An "everyday experience" with a huge impact. I believe that when you are present, it also means that you are open so that you can think in a different way. You may appreciate your personal and business achievements, which is a great gift to yourself! Try it out - you won't be sorry!

All the best,
Candi
